Hart Trailers Features

Customization

Customization is what HART's reputation is built on. A reputation that has been rightfully earned with our more than 35-year history of custom manufacturing. HART prides itself in manufacturing trailers that fit the personal needs and desires of their customers. The only limits to changing and customizing these trailers are safety, structural soundness, and your imagination. At HART, we are large enough to have the available materials, knowledge, equipment, technology and personnel, and yet small enough to give the personal attention to details in order to accomplish the most unusual of requests.

A. 6 Radius Top Rail .125 thick.

Welded and Cam-Bolted to full length 1 X 2.5 rectangular tube.

B. Fully Insulated Roof

Hart makes all  roofs with 5/8 thick fiberglass reinforced structural panels with a R3 thermal value for the ultimate in temperature, quietness, and strength. The  roof is a structural grade polypropylene honeycomb core material with a 1/16 layer of fiberglass resin and woven matting top and bottom, finished on the top exposed surface with a gel coat. The gel coat finish provides a high gloss panel, with long-term protection built in. The Honeycomb Core roof is 55% lighter in weight than the previously used Encore roof. Additionally, it will not dent when subjected to hail, tree limbs, or the occasional rank horse that throws its head up into the ceiling. We use it  because it is simply the very best material available for a horse trailer roof. Besides, Hart thinks you and your prized livestock deserve it.

C. Interlocking Floor

Each Hart flooring/cross member extrusion is tongue and grooved along each edge, interlocking each flooring section together creating the strongest flooring possible. By using an 6061-T6 aluminum extrusion for the flooring you get the best corrosion resistance possible, unlike the common 3105 aluminum sheet alloys that are prone to sagging between cross members, holding moisture, and corroding with time. Also, our flooring is .140 thick, 20% thicker than the competition's standard .125 thick sheet floors. Greater durability and longer life expectancy is the bottom-line benefit.

D. Solid Upright Posts

Solid upright posts on all trailers. An easy way to save money on trailer construction is to use C-shaped upright posts in the wall structure. An average consumer doesn't notice the difference just by looking at the trailer, but the difference becomes significant over the long-term. These trailers do not use C-shaped upright posts because they are only 2/3 as strong as rectangular tubing of the same size. All trailers have solid posts.

E. Heavy Duty Channel Type Doorjamb

Heavy-duty channel type door jamb and frame extrusions with inset weather stripping, for an automotive fit. Inset weather-stripping is not exposed to the elements and cannot be pulled off the edge of the door, like most of the competitor's edge molding style weather-stripping can.

Hart Trailers Double Framed Doors

Double framed doors for unmatched strength and durability. No other trailer manufacturer even comes close to matching the Door System. Not only did HART pioneer the channel type doorjamb system; all  doors regardless of size have an additional inner aluminum-tubing frame for rigidity and strength. Oh, by the way, we also fill all of our doors with Styrofoam for insulation and sound deadening.

Heavy Duty Door Hinges

Door hinges on trailers are either a non-issue or a constant aggravation. Door hinges consist of thick wall aluminum extrusion stock with pressed in stainless steel caps, diameter stainless steel hinge pin, with stainless steel washer between upper & lower half to eliminate wear. On all full height doors we use at least four hinges, for longer life and to prevent sagging. However, regardless how much care and effort we have put into this trailer feature, no one notices, and we like it that way.

F. Integrated Cross Members

At Hart, Flooring cross members and floor decking are both integrated into the same aluminum extrusion, forming a one piece extrusion that gives you I beam cross members on 6 centers, the closest spacing in the trailer industry. The I beams on each outside edge of the extrusion are 2 tall x thick and the center I beams are 3- tall and 1/8 thick. This innovative design provides superior support and protection for both cargo and trailer.

9 Full Perimeter Main-Frame

Aircraft grade aluminum unitized frame full length along the entire trailer, floor and nose, making the gooseneck structure an entrigal part of the trailer, rather than a stuck on after thought. Entire mainframe to flooring joints are continuously welded top and bottom to give you the ultimate in strength and durability. All structural aluminum extrusions are 6061 alloy with T6 temper to get the most muscle per ounce, 46,000 p.s.i. structural strength, 22% stronger than steel yet only 1/3 the weight.

46 Long Low Profile Gooseneck Hitch

46 long low profile gooseneck hitch assembly, painted and mylar protected. Low profile design creates up to 10 more usable interior gooseneck height. Hitch is framed with 4 x 3 x structural steel rectangular tubing and the gooseneck stem is reinforced with a 1/8 thick 46 long support gusset, the strongest hitch assembly in the industry. Installed with 40 all stainless steel bolts.

5 Channel Aluminum A-Frame

5 channel aluminum a-frame on all bumper hitch Hart models. All aluminum tongue on bumper hitch models is an interracial unitized part of the over all trailer frame, not a steel added on part that will rust and need to be repainted (except coupler). Stronger, lighter and corrosion free, are all no cost benefits.

Superior Axle Trolley Frame

Made of 4 x 3 x rectangular tubing and 5 x 3 x structural angle, painted and mylar protected and installed with stainless steel bolts, the foundation of every trailer.

Rolled Rocker Panels

Rolled rocker panels or full-length running boards are available on all trailers. Rolled rocker panels cover up all those unsightly structural fasteners along the bottom rail and gooseneck structure as seen on the competitions trailers. They also give your trailer that aerodynamic ground effects look and creates improved aerodynamics and less wind drag. Or if you desire, the rocker panel extrusions may be turned to a horizontal position creating full length running boards down the sides of your trailer, providing easy access to feed and dressing room doors.

Radius Rear Corners

Hart radius rear corners simply create the very best looking rear end in the industry! By using the same 5 radius aluminum extrusion for the rear post as we use for the top rail, not only do we have the strongest rear perimeter frame available, we create the added benefit of reduced wind drag on the rear of your trailer. No sharp corners at the rear for horses or people either.

Exterior Welding

Exterior welding on all trailers has been minimized. All but a very few exterior welds have been eliminated to give you the smoothest, cleanest exterior possible. The few exterior welds that are present are tig welded in order to achieve the best appearance possible.

Stainless Steel

Stainless steel bolts, hinge pins, divider latches, ramp springs and striker plates, maintenance free and absolutely no rust.

Mylar Tape

Mylar tape between all aluminum to steel connection points (axle trolley, jack, & hitch) eliminating galvanic corrosion.

Electrical Wiring

All electrical wiring runs overhead, encapsulated in a top roof rail. Rubber mounted sealed beam tail lights, rubber mounted sealed beam dome lights and dual bulb sealed beam marker lights for long life and easy maintenance. And of course, all D.O.T. required safety features are standard equipment too.

Radial Tires

Radial tires are standard equipment on all HART Trailers. You put radial tires on your truck because they last longer, have higher load capacities, roll easier, are more resistant to road hazards, and they are simply safer. Why would anybody put anything less on his or her trailer? Radial tires are standard equipment on trailers, because the best shouldnt cost you anything extra.

Windows

Only the best windows are used on trailers. Our windows feature tinted automotive tempered safety glass, closed cell foam seal tape behind the full perimeter frame and are silicone sealed around the outer edge for a double seal.

Couplers

All gooseneck trailers come standard with adjustable height self-centering 2-5/16 couplers. The state of the art system allows for easy hook up and proper leveling on most towing vehicles. All bumper hitch trailers come with 2-5/16 high capacity Hammerblow Bulldog couplers. These couplers feature simple positive lock hook up and a 12,500-lb. capacity to take the guesswork out and put peace of mind in your trailering experience.

Warranty

Hart provides a five year limited warranty to the original purchaser against defects in material and workmanship arising from normal use on the superstructure consisting of the bottom rails, side posts, roof rails, roof bows, hitch frame and undercarriage frame. All other components manufactured that attach to the main trailer frame, such as doors, gates, dividers or any other materials or parts are warranted to the original purchaser against any defect in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase.

Our Hart Trailers for Sale are located in our invetory system.
